Dinnertime is so integral to every trip. Food is such an expression of a locality’s character, how could it be anything else but integral?
Some destinations of course focus on native cuisine, while some import tastes or benefit from a strong immigrant community.
Miamis melting pot extends to its kitchens, but Tap Tap is an unusual outpost – a Haitian themed restaurant.
So why does it stand out above other restaurants on our travels for a dinnertime-themed blog? Not the food, although it was perfectly nice – Haitian goat stew in particular.
This was all about us colour. From the house band fronted by the former Mayor of Port-au-Prince, to the vibrant tables and walls, to hallways with incredible representation of voodoo culture, this is a feast – but one for more than just the sense of taste.
great entry for WPC-Dinnertime!
