A New Year, and a new wishlist for the year ahead!
Firstly, looking back on 2014, the wishlist from 12 months ago, while not comprehensively covered was exceeded in many ways. Florida, San Francisco, Morocco and Prague were ports of call. Great finds were Matlacha in Florida and Essaouira in Morocco. A bike ride to Sausalito from San Francisco was as fun a city activity as I’ve had in years.
And still the wishlist grows!
So, what does 2015 hold? In the bag is a Spring visit to Panama in Central America, with city, mountains and island life all part of the mix. On the shortlist is (again) Iceland with direct scheduled flights from Dublin to Reykjavik commencing; Romania which keeps popping up and intriguing in blog posts and articles all over the place; Tokyo the (perhaps unlikely) ultimate goal; and Ireland’s Skelligs subject to getting good fortune with the weather whilst there. Maybe one or two spots not yet thought of too, as with last year.
And more posting on this blog – even with a great run of trips in 2014, I failed to post about Marrakech, the Everglades, Kasbah Tamadot in the Atlas Mountains, and started one or two posts that weren’t finished. I can only be impressed by those bloggers posting regularly informative entertaining posts full of colour and insight. A lot of work goes into it, so I’ll try to put more into this. Some new photographic equipment hopefully will be an impetus, as will sharing more about what Dublin and Ireland has to offer too.
Regardless, here’s to a great year in travel. Happy New Year!
